Every class enjoys time each week in the Forest surrounding our school. Forest School Leader, Mr Henderson, and classroom support staff spend time with the groups teaching them a variety of skills in our wooded area. The children enjoy these sessions and develop an appreciation of nature alongside learning important social skills and how working as team is important but so is developing personal independent skills.
Recently our children have been learning the correct way to build a forest fire and how to roast marsh mallows. They have also been developing the art of worm charming, along with den building and building peer trust relationships through a variety of blind fold activities! How many other activities can you spot?
