We have a ‘School Council' which consists of 9 pupils at present. Each class has a school council representative and these children have all been elected by their classmates during termly voting. The School Council meet with Miss Clough and the Chair of Governors Mr Pilling on a Friday morning. The school council makes important decisions, after consulting with their peers, about our school. The School Council enables our children to have a greater say over matters that affect their education and schooling.
Why do we need a School Council?
School councillors help the adults in our school to make the right decisions for pupils. For many years it has been up to adults to make decisions for children but having a school council gives the children a voice.
